Shoohkayihtamihk  (Strong-Willed)  is  a  project  designed  to  increase   the   structural,  collaborative   and knowledge  capacity of  Prince  Albert  Métis  Women’s  Association   to identify  and  reduce  root-causes  of gender-based violence impacting Indigenous women/girls and 2SLGBGTQQIA+ individuals in North Central Saskatchewan. The main objective of this project is to increase the structural, collaborative and knowledge capacity  of  our  organization  to   identify   and   reduce   root-causes  of   gender-based   violence   against Indigenous  women/girls  and   2SLGBGTQQIA+  individuals in  North  Central Saskatchewan.

As  a part  of the  project  . we  reached  out  to  three  focus  groups  and  members  of  the  Intimate  Partner Violence Action (IPV) Team  that  is  part of  Prince Albert’s  Community   Solutions   Forum  to  help  develop   and  approve  a  brochure  about  Intimate Partner Violence.

The brochure explains and  identifies several community resources for those experiencing IPV and for those who want to learn more about  IPV.

Please  feel  free to  print  or  share  the Intimate  Partner Violence Brochure. People experiencing IPV need to know that they are not alone.
